**Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome **a condition that leads to repeated and severe bouts of vomiting. It results from long-term use of marijuana.

After 3 weeks, 5 ER visits, many bags of fluids, countless showers, and compulsive vomiting, we think Lacey is on her way to feeling better. She was in the ER this morning, Dr’s decided Home Health would be a good idea because she needs fluids everyday. They left the IV in because her veins are so small/collapsed that they have to use an ultrasound to find a vein every time. So happy a nurse is coming tonight!

Lacey suffers from Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome from long term daily marijuana use. It effects kids and young adults the must, under 20yrs. Dr’s said Lacey now has an intolerance to Marijuana and can’t be around it at all and to avoid it like the plague.

There’s no cure or treatment other than nausea meds, fluids, sleep, Benadryl, pain meds (they don’t work) and capsaicin cream (devil cream, use at your own risk…it’s pepper spray in a cream). CHS can last a couple days to weeks to months after quitting. The symptoms are brutal; severe body aches, compulsive vomiting, compulsive bathing, and dehydration, it’s horrible!!

Our ER sees this often and there’s nothing they can do other than fluids and nausea meds, that don’t work very well.

If you know anyone using marijuana please let them know about this especially if they’re under 20yrs old.

This month has had its ups and downs. My husband, 16yo son, and myself, had Covid, and stuck home for 2+ weeks. Then, the last two weeks our daughter has been struggling with Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome, she’s been in the ER 3x for fluids because of nausea/vomiting. While we were in her ER room today (5hrs) I couldn’t help but have so much gratitude for Hospitals, Nurses, Dr’s, Techs, Cafeteria, and many more, who cared for our daughter. I’m grateful for Prayer, Hope, Faith, Doritos and Diet Pepsi from the Cafeteria and for @maynesbrian! He’s my rock and comfort! Christ print is a $5 printable in my shop. 8x10 Print with magnetic frame (as pictured) is $25 in my shop.

The sorrow and pain of loss is always there….through the smiles and laughter, it’s always there. It’s easy to tuck away tho, so I don’t have to feel or mess up my makeup, but it doesn’t take long before it floods out. I made these stickers to remind myself that it’s ok to feel the feelings, even if it’s everyday. Two weeks today! 14 days! We’re over most of Covid symptoms but the fatigue is down right annoying! My desk is a mess because I’m tired. I’ve cleaned it up a few times but it only take 0.2 seconds for it to look this way again. I’m so ready to be done with this! #covidlife #positivemindset

Day 10 of Covid! Honestly the last week is a blur with lots of lounging and getting a whole lot of nothing done. Here’s a few picks from last week. I’m grateful for family and friends who check on us and bring by Swig! My taste and smell were lost for a couple days but I could still enjoy it a little. Much needed Personal Day today! I spent the day ge

Much needed Personal Day today! I spent the day getting my nails done with little daisies then off to the mall for some shopping and lunch. I enjoyed sitting at a table alone in the food court, watching one of my fav shows on my phone while enjoying Chick-fil-A. It was noisy around me but I was in my own bubble of me-time. My Personal Days give me time to invest in myself, time to review goals, and remind myself how much I love me! It was a great day!
