Snail Mail Watercolor Card and Paint Party Friday
Snail Mail Watercolor Painting for Paint Party Friday
Hello Friends!! I’ve officially moved to this blog and I’m super excited about it! I’ve been painting and getting all my products in order for my Sept. 27th Launch for 9th&Mayne. Yep, I’m finally doing it….after weeks of preparation and stalling (You’d think I was over the fear of putting myself ‘out there’ but no. It still lingers in the back of my mind, like an inner demon. grrrrr) and lots of chocolate, I’m ready to open shop.
I’ll keep you updated over the next couple weeks. To receive updates and discounts, sign up for my weekly newsletter in the sidebar.
Meet Mr. Snail Mail, he’s a cute little fellow and loves to deliver mail. I loved painting this one! It came to me in the car, I think, after chatting with a friend about how much I miss sending letters and cards to family and friends. So, I sketch it out and painted it, I really love the way he turned out.
This is a printed copy of my watercolor illustrations on a blank card, using The Printer. He’s in the 9th&Mayne Etsy Shop.
Check out other Paint Party Friday participants…so very talented!
Well he sure is cute, and a nice sentiment too!
Thanks Christine! I think he’s pretty cute also. :)
Wishing you every success Kristin am sure you will do brilliantly well. Loving your snail mail. Happy PPF, Annette x
Thank you so much Annette! That means a lot to me! :)
Ohhh, this is soooo cute! What a great idea! A good reminder to everyone that we need to slow down, and take time to write someone we can’t reach by email or FB! I have some old aunts who would appreciate a letter! Thanks! Patsy from HeARTworks and papemelroti
Thanks Patsy! Yes, I would love for the world to slow down and send a note. Our poor Post Office would benefit a lot from that.
Mr. Snail mail is ADORABLE!
What a cute idea!
I really love how he turned out, too!
Happy PPF!!
Mary
Mary, Thank you! I really love the way he turned out also. I hope to paint a couple more to make a series of them.
it is a very exciting time for you and I am looking forward to seeing it all unfold for you… your work is delightful and I am sure this will all be a great experience…xx
Thanks Tracey! I’m looking forward to the experience and where it takes me. It’s gonna be fun! :)
Good job for seeing it through! Look forward to visit at the 9th and Mayne – clever name!
Thank you Minnemie! You don’t want to know how long it took to come up with that name…naming a biz is harder than it looks, especially for an over-thinker like me. :)
Love him! Makes me want to write an actual letter. Good luck with it all, the new blog and the shop and life in general!
Thanks so much Carlarey!!
Very cute!!
Thanks Debbie!
so adorable! and i know what you mean… as wonderful and convenient email is, i wish more people still used snail mail! it’s so wonderful to open the mailbox and have more than bills and junk mail!
good luck with your shop!
Thank you Molly! Wouldn’t it be great to get more letters than bills and junk mail…that would be awesome!
Oooh, your Mr. Snail mail is so cute, Kristin. I miss getting real letters, too. My aunt is the only one who still writes letters to me. I hate all the junk mail that fills our mailbox, but I understand that that advertising pays for the postal service or a good part of it.
Thank you Faye! I hate junk mail also but if it pays for the Post Office then it’s ok. :)
Hi Kristin – so glad I have found your blog….what a great SnailMail drawing…how cute is this. Looking forward to following your blog…yay!
