Watercolors Fall & Thanksgiving

I’m in love with orange and pink together for my fall pumpkin and I’m pretty proud of how I painted the whipped topping. Painting whites with watercolors takes a bit of learning and patience. Next time I’ll add a little darker grey for more definition because it looks a little flat to me….but I still love it! I’ve been a little obsessed with adding gold to my paintings lately, maybe it’s the time of year, it just makes me really happy when I see it dry.

Doesn’t that gold look great! The thought of eating yummy Pumpkin Pie at Thanksgiving with lots of whipped topping makes me so happy. I’m working on maybe making cards and prints with these, what do you think?

I used:

  • Winsor Newton pan paints
  • Artists Loft Metallic Gold
  • Canson Watercolor Paper (I buy large pads and cut them down to 4×6)
  • Princeton Rounded #8 brush

I hope your Fall & Thanksgiving are filled with family and fun!
