Remember this from a couple posts ago? Even tho it’s perfect, to me, I still have a couple things to do to it. One is to fill that empty frame. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE an empty frame but this one needed something. Don’t ya think?

For this frame, I knew I wanted to use some kind of book page or something. I had a hard time finding a book that size so I decided to make my own. Yay! I’ll DIY it! Then I got writers block and couldn’t think of a dang thing to write.

After a week or two, my writers block was gone and I finally had an answer to my dilemma….I’ll use a scripture about family.  So, I Googled scriptures about family….I’m not that good at scriptures anymore, its been a long, long, time since Seminary….and found this scripture:

Deuteronomy 6:6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

I used my program to make the faux page and printed it out on 80lb Linen Paper. I left the piece of glass out so there wasn’t a glare, it looks much better this way. I’ll share a full shot of the m wall after I ‘fix’ one more thing.

So, what do you think?

  1. Oh…Kristin! This wall is fabulous! I love the scripture too. I want to do something like this in our living room, but with some black and white family pictures mixed in too. I’m so glad you visited my blog so I could find my way to you!

I’d love it if you linked this to my new linky party, “What We’ve Accomplished Wednesdays.” It is live right now.
